NLHA 2010 August Camp,
101 lessons + Summer Skill Skate Program.

First of all, I loved the program and can't wait for the next camp. I think all of us have become closer as friends as a result. Personally I found that you and Tony were great to get along with, but you weren't afraid to push us and sometimes pull us up when we were slacking a bit (and that wasn't just during NLHA sessions) …..Really happy with what I learnt the first time round and have carried some of those new skills and knowledge into my summer hockey.

I liked the fact that although everyone's skills were at a different level you were able to get us working as a team, but still develop everyone as an individual. With the training drills based upon game plays and the explanation of how and when to execute them was a great help for me. Overall it was a great camp, with excellent coaching. I would highly recommend that people participate in your programs. Thanks for all your help.

NLHA 2010 August Camp,

From my point of view, what made it so special for me was the coaches spending time with each player and working on their development. I have been on other camps and had other lessons, but they are always one drill for all. With your camp there is not only players of all abilities, but there is differentiation for those players... i.e. when drills are given, even though we are all doing the same drill, each player is told individually, how to do it to get the most out of it for them and how it relates to an Ice Hockey game situation.

Thank you is where l'd like to start. Thank you for your enthusiasm, your encouragement, your support and most of all your knowledge. I can say this with confidence that everyone in the A team is grateful you came home because without NLHA we would be half the players we are today. You have a great ability to break it all down and make learning by doing a great asset to us all. Being a 'newbie' to hockey, camp pushed me, challenged me and most of all made me love the game more than l thought possible. Out of it, not only am l playing summer hockey after only 9 months but l play with a level of respect and understanding. Oh, and by the way l had fun! It was hard work but it was fun. Most of all l got to participate with some great people, both teachers and students. I am eager for the development NLHA has in store for us this camp!

Spectator — Parent and Partner, NLHA 2010 August Camp, 101 lessons + Summer Skill Skate Program

As a spectator it's difficult to measure people's enjoyment whist out on the ice, what you can gauge, before, during and after is the mood in the camp. The first week was apprehension, but subsequent weeks the enjoyment and camaraderie was palpable. It was great to watch all participants start at one level and really develop to the point where most people are not only still playing but playing in summer leagues! People on your first camp not only still talk about it, they still talk to each other! For me, watching Hyde and Ethan enjoy it so much is what makes me sit there in the cold and I would advise anyone who has partners, wives, husbands etc to bring them along and watch, they won't be disappointed. They will however have to put up with them going on about it the whole time! As you'll see from the picture I've attached, our whole family support Next Level. Keep up the good work.

The first time I spoke to you, I realized you were genuinely interested in helping my boy. NLHA has been the best experience. From a parent of a teenage boy with additional needs, it has been a tough year. To the point I feared he may give up this great game. After attending NLHA his understanding of the ice hockey game has gone up to another level along with his enthusiasm to play.
